Hi! This is a variety that I bought from the club a couple years ago at the Gardens show. I just found this “fruit” and thought it rather odd. Just looking for a little information about it if anyone in the club has a moment to reply.

Hello, That is a seed pod. If left on the plant it will dry and crack open to exposed the seeds within that you can then plant. Seed pods come in all sizes, some members use a net bag around the seeds to collect them before they fall to the ground. Another method of propagation, some years you will find them on your plant others not. Here is a link if you want more information: propagation-by-seed.
