Tuesday August 19th – To kick off the new season, we will have a “Welcome Back Indoor Picnic” at the Garden Center, 1850 N. 9th Avenue, Pensacola Florida. Please call Louise at 850-780-0410 and let her know if you are coming so we have a head count for our meat item. If your last name starts with A-M please bring a side dish and if your last name starts with N-Z bring a dessert item to share with members. Social is at 6pm, dinner buffet at 6:30pm.

Saturday Sept. 27th – UWF Camellia Garden Work Day starting at 9:00am. We will need your help with cleaning up of the garden and gibbing. This year it is important to gib the garden so there will be blooms for our guest that attend the December show. Please bring your gloves, rakes, knee pads and water bottles we will provide the gib.
Saturday Oct. 18th – ALL HANDS NEEDED! We will be at the Shade House starting at 9:00am for potting our harvested air layers, spraying camellias, fertilizing, and general clean up. There are over 600 air layers that will need to be unwrapped before they can be potted. Please bring your chair, gloves, pruners, carts and water bottles.
Tuesday Oct. 21st – Club meeting – Program: “to be announced.” You will need to ‘gib’ 7 weeks prior to our show date (1st application Oct 25th) to have your camellias ready to produce blooms for our December 13th show. Friday Oct. 24th & Saturday 25th – Gulf Coast Camellia Society Conference – John Davy is the speaker @ 3pm on the 25th. Friday Dec. 12th – Show set up at University of West Florida Conference Center located at 11000 University Boulevard starting at 5pm. First, we meet at the Shade House to load show supplies and plants.
Saturday Dec. 13th – Pensacola Camellia Club 87th Annual Camellia Show, & Garden Tour & Plant Sales at UWF Conference Center located at 11000 University Boulevard. Exhibitors start time is 7:00am – 10:00am; Judging begins at 10:30am – 1:00pm, Open to the Public to enjoy all of the blooms 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Guests are encouraged to walk over to the UWF Camellia Garden before or after the show to enjoy these blooms.
Saturday Jan. 10th – Pensacola Camellia Club at Japanese American New Year Celebration at Wright Place selling camellias and promoting upcoming events. If you can help between 9am -4pm please contact Louise at 850-780-0410, there is a $10 admission fee to attend.

Saturday Feb. 7th – Camellia Festival at Eden Gardens State Park 10-2pm, this is a great event to attend and for us to promote the Club’s future events.

Sunday Feb. 22nd – UWF Camellia Garden Tour, Pensacola Camellia Club will welcome the public, provide air layering and pruning demonstrations, and have plants available for sale starting at Noon to 4:00 pm. Friday Mar. 6th – Set up for Community Show at the downtown Public Library located at 239 Spring Street starting at 3:00 pm – 4:00pm.
Saturday Mar. 7th – Pensacola Camellia Club to host Community Show and Plant Sale at the downtown Public Library on 239 Spring St, Pensacola, FL. Everyone is invited to bring their camellia blooms to compete for prizes in various categories starting at 9:00am. Tuesday Mar. 17th – Award Banquet at V. Paul’s Italian Ristorante. The 2026-2027 Officers and Board Members will be sworn in, T. Morris Scholarship Award, and ‘Person of The Year’ to be announced, along with Special Camellias for Auction. Cash bar will open at 5:30pm with Happy Hour prices all night on alcohol, wine, and beer, followed by dinner at 6:30pm. More information will be in the February newsletter.
Friday Mar. 27-29th – Pensacola Camellia Club will be selling camellias at UF/IFAS and Pensacola State College Milton Campus, ‘Spring Festival of Flowers’ sales event for the weekend. If you can help a few hours 9am -4pm, let Trumin know 850-375-4541, bring chair and dress for the weather to greet the shoppers.

Saturday Apr. 25th– UWF Camellia Garden Work Day starting at 9:00am to 12:00pm. If you have wondered how to reduce large camellia plants, John Davy will lead a plant reduction demonstration. We will have members on hand to explain air layers and inside pruning of plants before we all get to work at the garden. Come watch and learn so you can improve your own yard with these methods.
