PENSACOLA CAMELLIA CLUB WORKDAY AT THE
UIVERSITY OF WEST FLORIDA GARDEN

We had a great workday at University of West Florida Garden on Saturday 3-20-2010.  Many camellias were planted, weeding was completed and every camellia got a new application of mulch and fertilizer.  With this good help, the work was completed in just over two hours!

The UWF Camellia Garden was dedicated in February 2009 as a cooperative effort of the PCC, UWF Retired Employees Association and the University. Currently, the garden has about one hundred camellia plants with special emphasis on Pensacola varieties.  When all planting is completed the number should approximate two hundred.
